Elvis Presley's Granddaughter Riley Keough Pays Touching Tribute to Her Late Brother Benjamin

Elvis Presley's granddaughter, Riley Keough, used an Instagram post to express her feelings about losing her brother after he committed suicide.

The renowned Presley family was dealt a sad blow when Elvis Presley’s grandson, Benjamin Keough, committed suicide on July 12. The 27-year-old’s death not only hurt the family, but it also caused his sister, Riley Keough, to pen a heart-wrenching tribute via social media.

According to People, Riley wrote from the heart when she uploaded a series of images and a lengthy caption to her Instagram page. The photos, which showed Riley and Benjamin spending quality time and goofing off, has been liked over 60,000 times. As for the caption, the grieving 31-year-old wrote:

“I can’t believe you’ve left me. Not you sweet Ben Ben. Anyone but you. I guess this is true heartbreak. I hope we meet again.”

Benjamin was dealing with depression and the enormous responsibility of living up to the famous Presley family name.

Riley’s post comes some days after her mother, Lisa Marie Presley’s representative, Roger Widynowski, told People that Lisa, “is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated” over her son’s death.

However, Roger made it clear that the singer-songwriter was doing her best to “stay strong” for her 11-year-old twin girls, Harper and Finley, and Riley (whom she shares with her ex-husband, Michael Lockwood).

A friend of the deceased, who reportedly shot himself, exclusively informed the outlet that Benjamin was dealing with depression and the enormous responsibility of living up to the famous Presley family name.

The friend, whose name is Brandon Howard, added that “it’s a lot of pressure. It's almost like you're pressured into having to be a musician, having to be an actor.” Despite having his own issues, friends always turned to Benjamin whenever they needed some help.

According to Howard, regardless of the situation, Benjamin would make himself available to help — even though it meant inconveniencing himself sometimes. People recalled that Lisa welcomed Benjamin during her relationship with her husband of six years, Danny Keough.

The 52-year-old previously gushed about the close bond she shared with each of her children when she claimed that they did their best to stay within one other’s reach. May Benjamin’s soul Rest In Peace.
