Alex Shooter Williamson: Aussie comedians grim downward spiral

A series of unsettling videos from an Aussie comedian, who once boasted a host of loyal fans and travelled around the country for stand-up shows, has revealed just how far he has fallen from grace.

A few years ago, Alex “Shooter” Williamson was a popular figure in the Aussie comedy scene.

Calling himself “Australia’s loosest bloke”, his fans liked him for his lewd, expletive-filled stand-up routines and social media videos.

But a look at the 34-year-old’s social media pages shows just how drastically things have changed for him.

Williamson has been in the spotlight in recent days after posting a series of videos about his ex-girlfriend and OnlyFans creator, Alex Moore.

The now-deleted posts included a number of confrontations he had filmed between himself and Moore, along with a series of serious allegations against her.

In his most recent video, posted two days ago to TikTok, Williamson shares a clip of a song he had written, which he claims is about a “previous succubus” but also about “the war in Ukraine”.

In the video, the performer lays on a kitchen bench and plays the guitar while wine bottles partially cover his face.

Alex Williamson's TikToks spark concerned comments

The video sparked a series of responses from concerned commenters, with Williamson hitting back after one social media user suggested he needed to “take a break”.

“I don’t know who the ef you are. But I certainly do not. You need to break,” he responded.

Another person wrote: “Blokes lost the plot. Sad really.”

“This is laughably sad. I remember the loosest Aussie bloke videos fondly. Shell of your former self,” another said.

A look at the comment sections of Williamson’s other recent videos show a similar sentiment among the commenters.

One person claimed he had experienced a “terrible decline”, while others claimed his videos were a “tough watch”.

“Bro what happened to you,” one person said, with another writing: “I miss when Shooter was funny bro”.

Williamson dropped from comedy festivals

The comedian was embroiled in controversy in 2021 when he went on a foul-mouthed rant in which he furiously denied allegations of physical abuse and “predatory behaviour” from his famous ex-girlfriend.

In April 2021, Australian singer Peach PRC shared a lengthy public statement claiming Williamson was “abusive, manipulative and predatory” throughout their relationship.

She alleged Williamson had done “absolutely vile things” to her and other women.

“I didn’t speak up loud enough last time and still carry so much guilt that it lead (sic) to someone else being hurt. And I won’t watch it happen again,” she wrote.

“I am not scared of you Alex. Your empty threats are pathetic and I won’t be silenced anymore.”

Williamson responded with several sexually-explicit comments about Peach, which cannot be published here, claiming she “threw herself” at him when she was 19 and he was 29.

He went on to provide explicit details of their sex life during the relationship, telling a vivid story about a time they were both “very drunk” and couldn’t remember being intimate, which they later “joked about in a kinky way”.

Williamson also referenced another ex-girlfriend, telling his followers: “I don’t know what the abuse is. I don’t know what the predatory behaviour is they’re talking about.

“Again, they both threw themselves at me. I’m confused as to where the predatory thing is coming from. What even is the accusation? … If it’s the predatory thing, it’s false. Also, I was 29 at the time. What’s the problem with trying to find a 19-year-old?”

His expletive-filled rants prompted fierce backlash on social media, with the Perth and Sydney Comedy Festivals dumping him from their line ups as a result.

It was then reported by Pedestrian TV that the comedian’s management, More Talent, had terminated its working relationship with the performer effective immediately, with his profile removed from its website moments later.

In a leaked email provided to the publication, the company’s director Andrew Taylor called Williamson’s behaviour “completely inappropriate” and “unacceptable,” and that “we do not and cannot be seen to condone behaviour such as is alleged, nor the tone or content of his responses.”

Incidents at multiple stand up shows

There have been multiple occasions when Williamson’s stand up comedy shows resulted in confrontation with audience members.

In March 2021, he was punched in the face by a furious heckler while performing in Rockhampton, Queensland, as part of his national tour Oi Mate.

When the man continued to interrupt the show and refused to leave, Williamson finally had enough and poured his beer on the man’s head, sparking a violent response – that was all caught on film.

Footage of the incident showed the bearded audience member walking up on stage before punching the comedian in the face.

The man was then hauled out of the venue, with Williamson screaming profanities at him as he went.

Williamson was involved in another confrontation during a live show in October 2020 at Adelaide’s Rhino Room, when he told an audience member that he was “glad” their parents were dead.

During the show, the comedian’s attention was caught by a man “talking about his Jameson” instead of paying attention to his set, sparking an expletive-laden tirade from Williamson.

“You were raised like a c**t. I am glad (your parents) are f***ing dead so they didn’t have to see their son evolve into such a f***ing useless sack of sh*t,” Williamson said.

The man responded by saying he hadn’t laughed once during the set and was instead making the act more bearable.

The comedian then told the man to leave, before kicking his drink over.

“You open your mouth, you pay the f***ing price, c***,” he said, with video showing him appearing to kick at the man.

The audience member the grabbed a chair and began waving it at Williamson, with the same man throwing glasses at the stage as he was escorted out of the venue.

The comedian later commented on the incident, admitting he wasn’t in a good place and took the situation too far.

In another dispute that same year, Williamson shared footage of him storming off stage during a performance in Goulburn to confront a heckler.

The comedian knocked the man’s hat off, with the crowd member smashing a beer bottle into his head in response.

“You gonna glass me? You gonna glass me?” Williamson said.

The comedian then stormed off, finishing the bottle of beer and throwing it onto the stage as the crowd cheered.

“I just f***ing skolled the glass he glassed me with,” he said.
