Hull City have sacked their head coach Shota Arveladze.
Arveladze, 49, departs with the club in 20th place in the Championship.
The Georgian manager took over as new head coach on a two-and-a-half year deal in January this year. His first game in charge of the club was against Swansea, which Hull won 2-0.

It has been a disappointing start to the 2022-23 season, however, with five losses from their opening 10 matches.
Acun Ilicali, Hull City chairman, said: “During the international break, we had a number of meetings with Shota to discuss the direction of the team and the future of the club. As these meetings went on, it became clear our views weren’t aligned so we have made the decision to part ways.
“Shota and Peter leave with our thanks, greatest respect and fond wishes for the future.
“Our focus is now supporting Andy and the squad and finding the best possible candidate to drive this club forward.”
Despite considerable changes to the squad over the summer, including the overhauling of the club’s wage structure and focus on recruiting international players, performances have not improved for a club that finished 19th in the Championship last season.
A busy summer transfer window saw the club lose Keane Lewis-Pooter to Brentford but Hull managed to sign Ozan Tufan and Allahyar Sayyadmanesh from Fenerbahce. Oscar Estupinan, a Columbian striker, was another addition, from Portugal’s top flight. Jean Michael Seri and Tobias Figueiredo were also brought to the club ahead of the 2022-23 campaign.
Hull were taken over by Ilicali, the Turkish TV mogul, in January.
