Luke Perry Update: Representative Speaks Out On Actors Condition After Massive Stroke Hospitaliza

Update! On March 4, 2019, representatives for actor Luke Perry confirmed that he passed away following a massive heart attack. He passed away early Monday morning at St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, California. He was surrounded by his family including his two children: Jack and Sophie Perry.

Luke Perry’s representative Arnold Robinson is speaking out and providing an update after the Beverly Hills 90210 and Riverdale actor was rushed to the hospital earlier this week due to a massive stroke. Arnold Robinson spoke to the Associated Press to clarify some misconceptions circulating through social media.

It didn’t take long for news to spread that on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, paramedics in Sherman Oaks, California responded to an emergency call at Perry’s residence.

The emergency dispatch audio has since gone viral.

“Rescue 78, stroke.”

Though no spokesperson immediately stated Luke Perry had suffered a massive stroke, the dispatch call confirmed it to many who immediately responded with an overwhelming outpouring of love and support for Perry on social media networks.

Soon, his castmates and friends such as Molly Ringwald, Ian Ziering, and Shannen Doherty shared their get well messages of love and compassion and flooded the Internet with their support. Molly Ringwald currently plays Luke Perry’s wife on the CW series Riverdale.

Born Coy Luther “Luke” Perry III on October 11, 1966, many were stunned to learn the 52-year-old suffered such a serious medical emergency. Though it is known that Perry suffered a massive stroke, the underlying cause of the stroke remains unknown.

Though reports are circulating saying that Luke Perry was placed in a medically induced coma, the Mirror disputes that saying that Perry’s representative has stated that isn’t true.

Arnold Robinson told the Associated Press that Luke Perry is currently under observation but did not provide any additional information regarding his current status.

At this point, it is unclear what Luke Perry’s current medical prognosis is or if he suffered any lasting damage from the stroke. As stroke may be caused by several underlying conditions, it is also unknown what triggered Luke Perry’s stroke.
